How can I tell if a particular journal is "Scholarly" or "Academic"? I have the title of the journal.

If you have the title of the journal, then you can determine if it is scholarly or academic by searching the Ulrichsweb database:

Go to the Database Pages under the letter "U"to find Ulrichsweb: |

Look up your journal in Ulrichsweb; Type in the title, and click the green search icon. |

| On the results page, look over the choices for the appropriate title; here we choose the online version of this journal. Click on the title of the journal to see the detailed contents. | |

| Under the Content Type heading look for the notation Academic/Scholarly, which indicates whether or not it is scholarly or academic. | ![]() |
